LG StanbyME 2 Max: Portable 4K Screen

LG Electronics has expanded its lifestyle screen lineup with the introduction of the LG StanbyME 2 Max. Building on the foundation of its predecessor, this new release introduces a larger display, higher resolution, portable smart screen and smarter AI processing.

Upgraded Features

The most notable upgrade in the LG StanbyME 2 Max is its screen. Moving away from the 27-inch QHD (2560×1440) display of its predecessor, the new model features a larger 32-inch 4K UHD (3840×2160) touchscreen.

The combination of a larger canvas and a higher resolution ensures that text remains sharp, images look lifelike, and video content feels substantially more immersive, even when viewed from a distance.

To complement the 4K resolution, LG has integrated premium audiovisual technologies:

Dolby Vision: Automatically optimizes brightness, contrast, and color diversity based on the content you are watching.
Dolby Atmos: Works with the device’s side-firing speakers to deliver an enveloping, multi-dimensional audio experience.

Processor

To complement the hardware, LG has integrated the α (Alpha) 8 AI Processor Gen3. This advanced processor uses artificial intelligence to automatically optimize picture and sound based on what you are watching. Features like AI Picture Pro and AI Super Upscaling refine textures and edges, ensuring lower-resolution content looks pristine on the 32-inch 4K panel. Meanwhile, AI Sound Pro upmixes audio into a virtual 11.1.2 channel surround sound setup.

Design and Portability

The StanbyME 2 Max functions as a truly movable personal screen that can transition effortlessly between different rooms and tasks.

Detachable Design: The display can be easily attached to or detached from its signature wheeled docking stand. When detached, it can be used like a large tablet or propped up anywhere using the included one-click stand accessory.
Seamless Orientation Shifts: The display rotates smoothly between landscape and portrait modes. Landscape mode is ideal for streaming movies or gaming, while portrait mode provides a large, vertical layout perfect for scrolling through social feeds, browsing recipes, reading documents, or making video calls.
Built-in Battery: A built-in rechargeable battery offers up to 4.5 hours of continuous video playback. When it is time to recharge, you can utilize the USB-C port, which even supports charging via compatible external battery packs.

LG Channels (FAST): Gives users instant access to over 400 free, ad-supported streaming television channels globally.
LG Gallery+: Available on the StanbyME lineup for the first time, this feature turns the screen into a digital art piece when not in use. It features a library of over 5,000 artworks to enhance your home decor.
Mood Maker: Allow the screen to act as a functional home piece displaying the weather, a clock, or a a digital photo frame.
Built-in Games: Includes touch-friendly casual titles like Chess, Memory Game, Spot the Difference, and Million Marble, for quick entertainment.

Hands-Free Control

The device features Far-Field Voice Recognition, letting you call out voice commands from across the room — highly convenient while cooking or multitasking. For times when you prefer physical controls, it includes a magnetic clip-on remote.

The LG StanbyME 2 Max is available for $1299.99, with pre-orders beginning June 29, 2026 on LG.com. Shipping will begin rolling out on July 27, 2026.
